The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) aims to provide timely, evidence-informed guidance on managing antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) infections. This updated guidance document replaces earlier versions and focuses on treatment strategies for infections caused by extended-spectrum β-lactamase–producing Enterobacterales, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales, and other difficult-to-treat Gram-negative pathogens. A panel of infectious diseases specialists convened to address critical questions regarding the management of these infections.
