Long-acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMA) and beta-2 agonists (LABA) are both recommended for symptom control in group A COPD patients according to GOLD guidelines. This study evaluates the effectiveness of these treatments by analyzing data from 76 patients who were new users of either LAMA or LABA. The results show that patients using LAMA had a greater improvement in their COPD Assessment Test (CAT) scores compared to those using LABA, suggesting that LAMA may be the preferred first-line treatment option in this patient group.
