The trial involved 716 patients with histologically-confirmed advanced clinical stage cT2 or higher or nodal positive stage, randomly assigned to receive either the FLOT regimen or a control regimen. The study aimed to evaluate the pathological response and overall survival outcomes associated with the different chemotherapy regimens. Results indicated significant findings regarding treatment efficacy and safety, contributing to the understanding of perioperative chemotherapy in this patient population.
