Accurate estimation of fluid status is crucial in managing heart failure patients, yet current bedside assessment methods can be unreliable. This study enrolled non-ventilated patients prior to right heart catheterization and measured IJV diameters to calculate respiratory variation and assess collapsibility. The findings suggest specific cut-offs for IJV measurements to estimate right atrial pressure, highlighting the potential of point-of-care ultrasound in clinical practice.
