The research involved a cross-sectional study conducted in Alcobaça city, Bahia, Brazil, with 473 participants aged 60 years and older. It assessed the relationships between diabetes mellitus, MVPA, and SB using self-reported measures. The findings indicated that substituting MVPA with SB increased the prevalence of diabetes, while replacing SB with MVPA acted as a protective factor.
