Necrotizing soft tissue infections (NSTIs) are life-threatening conditions that require prompt and effective treatment. This study is a retrospective, single-center, quasi-experimental analysis comparing two antibiotic regimens for NSTI management. It aims to determine whether linezolid is a safer and more effective alternative to the combination of clindamycin and vancomycin. The findings suggest that linezolid may reduce acute kidney injury (AKI) and shorten total antibiotic exposure, leading to changes in clinical practice guidelines for NSTI treatment.
