Kaiser Permanente Northern California
The ADHERE-ASCVD randomized clinical trial aimed to evaluate whether an adaptive digital outreach approach could improve statin refill rates compared to usual communication methods in adults at high risk for cardiovascular events. Conducted within the Kaiser Permanente Northern California health system, the trial included participants who were 18 years or older with recent statin nonadherence. The findings suggest that digital outreach significantly increased the likelihood of statin refills and reduced the time to refill compared to traditional communication methods.
