Aldosterone synthase inhibitors (ASIs) have shown significant blood pressure lowering efficacy in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, but their effects in chronic kidney disease (CKD) remain less understood. This study includes five randomized controlled trials with a total of 1,148 patients, assessing the impact of ASIs on systolic and diastolic blood pressure, albuminuria, and hyperkalemia incidence. The findings indicate a notable reduction in blood pressure and albuminuria among CKD patients treated with ASIs, highlighting their potential role in managing hypertension in this population.
