Tricuspid regurgitation is associated with increased hospitalization and mortality risks, and many patients are not candidates for surgical intervention due to various risks. Recent technological advancements in transcatheter therapies have shown promise in treating this condition, with numerous trials evaluating their safety and efficacy. However, significant knowledge gaps remain, particularly regarding patient selection and the hemodynamic effects of these interventions. This review outlines the anatomical features of the tricuspid valve and discusses current treatment strategies and future perspectives.
