MINOCA is a heterogeneous group of clinical entities that presents with acute myocardial infarction despite normal or near-normal coronary arteries. The prevalence of MINOCA ranges from 6% to 11% among all patients with acute myocardial infarction, often affecting younger, nonwhite females with fewer traditional risk factors. This document explores various pathophysiological mechanisms leading to MINOCA, including epicardial and microvascular causes, and provides specific therapeutic approaches tailored to each scenario.
