A cross-sectional study was conducted among 248 newly diagnosed adult diabetic patients at Mulago Hospital. The study utilized the Neuropathy Symptom Score (NSS) and Neuropathy Disability Score (NDS) to screen for neuropathy. The findings revealed a 29.4% prevalence of DPN, with significant associations found between neuropathy and factors such as age over 60 years and a history of foot ulcers.
