The study involved 150 participants, including 36 subjects with vascular dementia and 114 healthy controls, who completed a cross-sectional survey on their dietary and lifestyle patterns. The research aimed to determine if specific dietary components are linked to the risk of vascular dementia. Results indicated that participants with vascular dementia exhibited higher lipid profiles and less engagement in physical and social activities. The findings suggest potential dietary influences on cognitive health, warranting further randomized controlled trials.
